Is it finally the year of McLaren? After a sprint victory last season and a number of podiums, the team are increasingly trying to find its way to the top. Zak Brown told GPBlog, among others, what the team's ambition is in 2024.

The American is therefore loud and clear: "Ambition is to win races this year. No surprise, the record appears extremely strong again. Obviously, we've done a great job over the winter with the racing car. Nine podiums last year. It would be nice to be able to get one further step towards the top," Brown said at the press briefing.

McLaren want to continue their advance

Brown has been CEO of McLaren Racing since 2018. Since his entry into the company, and thus the team, McLaren managed to win one real race, Monza in 2021. Since then, the team did not fare well until the second half of 2023. Something Brown wants to build on: "So we certainly want to start where we finished and progress over the season. See no reason why, if we can keep up the development that we've had since the summer of last year, we should be in a position to get on that top step shortly." the CEO said.
