The Grand Prix of the Netherlands has been named best GP organisation of the year 2023 by Formula 1. It is a great compliment for the organisation in Zandvoort.

The Zandvoort Grand Prix has been held again in the Dutch dunes since 2021 and has been a great success. Max Verstappen won all three editions, but above all the whole spectacle surrounding the event is mostly praised. For example, F1 has repeatedly let it be known that the DutchGP is an example for all other GPs in terms of entertainment.

Why Zandvoort won

Those words have now also been rewarded with an award for the organisation at Zandvoort. The GP of the Netherlands received the award for best organisation in 2023 at F1's internal awards ceremony. ' 'This award is for the organiser who best exemplifies our mission to be the best sports and entertainment spectacle in the world,'' an F1 spokesperson told GPblog.com.

The award is presented by F1 and is arrived at by a panel of judges. The jury consists of a group of 'senior' F1 executives and feedback received on a fan survey is also taken into account.
