An important weekend awaits Ferrari in Imola. Indeed, the Scuderia is bringing a major upgrade package to the Imola Grand Prix. Team boss Frederic Vasseur therefore thinks his team can compete at the front this weekend.

Last year, the Tifosi did not get a chance to cheer Ferrari at Imola. The race was cancelled because of flooding caused by severe weather. This weekend, however, racing will resume as normal in the Emilia-Romagna region.

Vasseur on Ferrari upgrades

Vasseur is looking forward to the important weekend for Ferrari: "The Grand Prix takes place at Imola, the closest circuit to our headquarters in Maranello. The circuit is named after our founder. It is also a return to the usual format, with three free practice sessions. That's why we decided to introduce our first update package for the SF-24 here."

The Ferrari team boss continued: "It will be a busy weekend, because we have to evaluate all the new parts and at the same time go through the normal programme in preparation for qualifying and the race."

Can Ferrari win in Imola?

With the new upgrades, Ferrari hopes to compete for victory. Vasseur says: "After the race in Imola had to be cancelled last season, we are happy to be back and can race in front of our fans who will be in the grandstands. We are confident that we can keep up the pace and compete at the front. We hope we can deliver for the Tifosi."
