'Ferrari engineer Simone Resta moving to Red Bull? Mekies interested'

Simone Resta may be facing a return to Formula 1. The Imola-based engineer spent the past three years at Haas, but eventually left there, as did team boss Guenther Steiner. Rumours suggest Resta could move to a constructor where he knows the team boss very well.

Resta to Red Bull?

The latest rumour in F1 suggests that Resta will be at AlphaTauri in 2024, and thus no longer at Ferrari. The Italian branch of Motorsport.com reports that Red Bull are in fact interested in the Italian engineer. AlphaTauri team boss Laurent Mekies is rumoured to like his former chief designer.

As mentioned, the Italian provided his services to the American Haas team last season. The engineer eventually left, as Resta was said to have a different vision than team owner and backer Gene Haas. Resta felt passed over and therefore walked away. Do you see Resta going to AlphaTauri?
