Brazil Grand Prix 2018: Preview

The Brazilian Grand Prix is now so close to us as we enter the penultimate race of the Formula One 2018 season. The Lewis Hamilton afterparty?!

Of course, Lewis Hamilton became five-time world champion last time out in Mexico - how will this impact this weekend's race?

- Interlagos will become the seventh most used F1 track of all time (tied with Hockenheimring) - with its 36th race.

- If Lewis Hamilton manages a win in Brazil; it will be his 50th in the Formula One hybrid era.

- Red Bull haven't led a single lap at Interlagos since 2014!

- Mercedes only need to lead for 16 more laps to enter the '5000 laps led' category - the Silver Arrows will be only the fifth team ever to achieve this number.

The Circuit

- Full name: Autodromo Jose Carlos Pace

- Built: 1938

- Most wins: Michael Schumacher has won conquered the Interlagos circuit four times; with his last victory coming in March 2002.

- Capacity: 60,000

- Length: 4.309km (2.677 miles)

- Turns: 15

- Lap record (race): Max Verstappen - 1:11.044 (2017, Red Bull)

Last year

- The Podium: 1. Sebastian Vettel (Ferrari), 2. Valtteri Bottas (Mercedes), 3. Kimi Raikkonen (Ferrari)

- Lewis Hamilton started the race in pit lane and managed to finish just outside of the podium in P4. Similarly to this season, Hamilton had just won it in Mexico - to claim his fourth world championship, and Vettel produced an excellent performance to win it for Scuderia.
