Former Formula 1 driver Felipe Massa has said that he does not miss the sport, as he retired for the second time at the end of last year and has now moved on to Formula E.

The Brazilian is set to drive in his maiden Formula E season when the new season starts for Venturi. Talking about the difference between the sport when comparing it to F1 or any other motorsport he's driven, he says it's a completely different beast.

"It can't be compared with the cars I've driven before, it's a completely different world in terms of power, efficiency, aerodynamics, grip or physics if you think about F1," the Brazilian said in an interview with Spanish newspaper AS.

"It's not a championship that should be compared with F1, it's another planet, you have to learn a style of driving or circuits from scratch - I don't know a single one!

"How to drive in qualifying, how to drive in the race, is not easy and I have a lot to learn.

"It's a new challenge, but I like challenges and I think I can be happy here, competitive, and have fun."

When asked whether he misses the F1, the 37-year-old was adamant that he's happy where he is. He thinks that he chose the right time to retire as well, as he hung up his gloves at the end of the 2017-season.

"No, [I miss] only the competition, but there is more than F1.

"I still watch the races and I like to know what is happening, but I do not miss it.

"It was easy for me [to decide when to retire], it was the right time.

"Not to be more or less competitive, I am happy with my level of 2017, understanding the car as it should.

"But if I had stayed this year I might have left it after four races.

"I would have said 'see you later', because to leave to finish the last one, as is Williams ... I left at the right time, I prefer to see that from the outside."
