'Silverstone is one of everyone's favourite circuits, it's always good there'

Silverstone is one of the most appreciated Formula 1 circuits by many drivers, at least according to Alexander Albon. Besides Mercedes and McLaren, the Williams team is also coming up with upgrades to the car. Albon is also looking forward to his home race on the British island.

"I think Silverstone is one of everyone's favourite circuits. Like you said, I think it's a bit more representative to see where our package comes out. We've still got Austria before then if I've got my calendar right," Albon told a press conference at the Canadian Grand Prix.

Just under 800 races for Williams

"But no, it will be good. I think it's also Williams’… well, it was supposed to be their 800th – but it will be 799 with Imola, unfortunately, but it will still be a good race, and hopefully we can put on a good show. It's always good to go to Silverstone," said Albon.

The Thai-British driver who drove alongside Max Verstappen in the Red Bull Racing car a few years ago is currently 12th in the world championship. With his Williams, the driver managed to rack up seven points this season.
