'He is probably the most complete driver on earth'

Hyundai team boss Cyril Abiteboul has worked with many drivers, including Carlos Sainz and Fernando Alonso. In an interview with AS.com, the French team boss says what has stayed with him most from these Spanish superpowers in the premieres class of motorsport.

About Alonso, the 45-year-old team boss does not have a bad word to say. "Alonso needs no introduction. He is probably the most complete driver on earth and it is a pleasure to see him back at the top of Formula 1," Abiteboul said.

But Ferrari driver Sainz has also impressed the Paris-born engineer. "Sainz is impressive for his attention to detail and especially the mechanical side of the car. It's like he is an engineer, and he has helped to improve the car since he was at Toro Rosso."

Alonso has been praised all season for his amazing comeback in Formula 1. The Spanish bull is third in the standings behind Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez, and that is in an Aston Martin.
