The long run-up to the Azerbaijan Grand Prix provides ample opportunity to reflect on the chaotic conduct at the Australian GP. The chaos was already complete when even the organisers were summoned by the FIA, but it did not stop there. New video footage shows spectators stealing FIA and FOM equipment.

After the race, the stewards were quite busy investigating numerous incidents, which occurred both during and after the race. One of these involved a significant safety risk: spectators entered the track before the race was finished. For this, the organisers had to answer to the FIA, which demanded an investigation into the events.

Now, it appears that more was going on than just spectators who were on the track. On video footage published on Instagram people can be seen cutting cables and unscrewing electronic equipment.

The last has not yet been said about the post-race misconduct in Melbourne. Besides the investigation into the presence of spectators on the track while the race was not officially over and Hulkenberg's Haas was still there, the organisers can add this theft to the list.
