Summer break already? Yep, we’re that far through the season and now F1 has three weeks off, a break to reflect. These drivers/teams were definitely ready for a break to recharge and come back all guns blazing in Belgium!

Red Bull

What is going on with their Renault engines? Daniel Ricciardo in Germany and Max Verstappen in Hungary have suffered engine failures which have put a halt on their charge.

They have only had one driver in the points in each of the last three races and have failed to be on the podium in all three.

Sebastian Vettel

Vettel is now 24 points adrift and will be pleased the summer break has finally arrived to allow him to refocus and begin his charge towards a fifth world title.

Carlos Sainz

The Spaniard has a good start to the season, scoring points in seven of the first eight races. Since that impressive start however, only two points have been scored in four races, at Hungary last weekend.

Sainz recently said that the Hungary race “summarises my season” after falling from his qualifying position of P5 to ninth at the chequered flag
