The American team have now proved they have got what it takes to produce a double points' finish and their owner, Gene Haas, has asked for five more replicas. He suggests that the team need to do this in order to redeem themselves from bad luck and team blunders.

Romain Grosjean scored his first points of the season in Austria coming home in fourth while team-mate Kevin Magnussen followed him in fifth. The 22 points picked up, their best result in F1 will make their 50th Grand Prix memorable.

When Magnussen crossed the finish line, he reported on the radio "redemption for Australia". The double pit-stop error in the opening race of the season is still on Magnussen's mind.

And since this incident, which caused both drivers to retire, Haas have found themselves missing out on opportunities. None other than Grosjean's incident period.

Following the race, Gene Haas told ESPN that he wants his team to work even harder to recover the deficit.

"It's a one race redemption. If we can do it for five races, then maybe we've got something. I wouldn't put too much into a single race success. There's a lot of randomness in racing," Haas said.

The guys in that garage have a tough boss to please. But even Guenther Steiner knows they must continue to work hard to repeat the success in Silverstone and across the rest of the calendar.

"Everybody realised the potential the car has got we just didn't turn it into enough points. This time, we scored. We were lucky this time, by two dropping out or three dropping out in front of us to finish fourth and fifth," Steiner said echoing the words of his boss.
