Lewis Hamilton will start Sunday's Italian Grand Prix from the back of the grid as he faces penalties for an engine change. Although Max Verstappen said that making up for a grid penalty at Monza is very difficult, Hamilton does not think so.

Hamilton and Verstappen differ on Monza

Hamilton has won five times on the Italian circuit, while Verstappen has never won. This year, the Dutchman looks set to take his first victory at Monza. On the Thursday before the GP weekend, Verstappen shared his thoughts on the track and how difficult it is to catch up at the Temple of Speed.

Hamilton, who will start from the back of the grid this weekend, disagrees with the Dutchman and believes the distinctive circuit has plenty of good overtaking opportunities. Hamilton spoke to Sky Sports about what he thinks of the Italian track and what it means to him. Hamilton: "It is one of the classics. It's the fastest track on the calendar, really unique. The crowd is great here; that sea of red. The track is also good for overtaking and the low downforce also gives a kick. I am very grateful for all the wins here. It is not an easy track. It throws lots of different spanners in the works."
