Toto Wolff has tried to learn from Manchester United with Mercedes. The team boss of the German formation told this in an interview with the Financial Times. He and his team have tried to prevent what has happened to the Manchester football team in recent years.

The English Premier League team has won the competition no less than 20 times, keeping every other club behind them. The last title, however, dates back to the 2012/2013 season. After a period of great success under Sir. Alex Ferguson, it is now a period with several coaches at the helm in which it is not really over.

Mercedes has won the constructors' title in Formula 1 eight times in a row and according to Wolff that is due to the hunger of everyone in the team. The motivation must always be sky high, never be satisfied with what you have achieved in the past period. That is the key to long-term success, according to the Austrian.

"I studied why great teams were not able to repeat great title [runs]. No sports team in any sport has ever won eight consecutive world championship titles, and there are many reasons for that, and what is at the core is the human. The human gets complacent. You are not energised in the same way you were before. You are maybe not as ambitious," says Wolff.
