The Formula One drivers have already completed thirteen Grands Prix, which puts them well over halfway through the season. Esteban Ocon has not had an easy year and talks to Speedweek.com about the challenges he faced before the summer.

"I think the race at the Circuit Paul Ricard in Le Castellet was the toughest Grand Prix for me so far this year, because it was really very hot," Ocon judged. "The whole weekend there was a lot of heat and it was quite difficult to finish the first part of the season."

For now, Ocon can be very satisfied with his racing year. He managed to finish in the top ten no less than ten times this year, with fifth place in Austria being the best performance for now. In France, despite the heat, he scored four points for his team.

Unrest at Alpine palpable

At Alpine, meanwhile, things are anything but calm. Fernando Alonso's imminent departure has left the team scrambling to find a successor. Otmar Szafnauer announced earlier this week that he does not exclude that the transfer of the Spaniard to Aston Martin is a sure thing.
