Ralf Schumacher says Ferrari needs to find a solution quickly after the dramatically flawed Azerbaijan Grand Prix. Both polesitter Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz dropped out due to engine problems. The German analyst does not expect a solution to be found quickly.

Schumacher says in his column for Sky Germany that the engines are quickly overloaded and have a shorter lifespan than expected. "Ferrari has been badly affected, the situation is dramatic and Mattia Binotto is struggling. After the strong start, it was the declining consistency of the drivers, followed by technical problems. And that at a time when you could potentially win the World Drivers' Championship.

Ferrari falls back

Ferrari started this season very strongly after some disappointing seasons. The team from Maranello was in the midfield in recent years but seemed to be one of the top teams again after two wins by Charles Leclerc. However, since the Spanish Grand Prix this has changed and the problems seem to pile up.

Schumacher concludes: "They need to find a solution quickly, but I don't think the Scuderia will be able to get their problems under control before the Canadian Grand Prix."
