In the homeland of Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc, there was another great race to watch last weekend; the Historic Monaco GP. Leclerc drove some laps himself during the special event, but once again he hit the wall hard in the Principality. The Monegasque reacted on Twitter.

Leclerc drives historic Ferrari to pieces

There seems to be a curse on Leclerc in his home races. He always underperforms and often ends up in the wall with bad luck. Also during the Monaco Historic Grand Prix the Monegasque had another problem. To promote the event the Ferrari driver drove the old Ferrari of Niki Lauda. There was a problem with the brakes, so he parked the car in the wall in Rascasse.

On Twitter, Leclerc responded to the accident, "When you think you've already had all the bad luck in Monaco and you lose the brakes going in Rascasse with one of the most iconic historic Ferrari F1 cars." The cost of the damage to the historic F1 car will not be cheap. At least Leclerc has been able to make a few metres as a practice. In two weeks time, on May 29, F1 will return for the seventh round of the F1 Championship.
