Charles Leclerc has to let go the pole position for the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix after Sergio Perez managed to take away the first place in spectacular fashion in the final phase of qualifying. The Ferrari driver says he gave everything.
"The lap felt good honestly I am very happy with the lap. All qualifying was just about keeping it on track and not doing any mistakes which would have been costly and then Q3 I just went for it. I just more or less put everything together" Leclerc said after the session.

Ferrari looked fast throughout qualifying and after the first run of Q3 Carlos Sainz and Leclerc were on P1 and P2. Yet Perez managed to pick up the pace on his final lap, forcing Ferrari to start from second and third tomorrow. Leclerc praised the Mexican for the first pole of his career.
"I didn't expect Checo to come with that lap time, so congratulations to him. He did an incredible job today. Another day tomorrow and we hope to have a good start." Leclerc said.
