Verstappen's entire career at Red Bull: is it realistic?

In all the euphoria after winning the world title, Max Verstappen said he wanted to stay with Red Bull Racing for many more years. Not long later, his team announced that they would like to start negotiations for a new, long-term contract. It is possible that more information will be revealed within a few months.

Dedication

Verstappen himself cited 10 or 15 years as the number of seasons he would like to remain under contract to Red Bull. Of course that sounds nice and shows his dedication to the Austrian team, but how realistic is a lifetime at Red Bull Racing? There isn't a top driver who has spent 15 years with the same team.

The Race asked team boss Christian Horner after the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix what the prospects are of a lifetime of Verstappen at Red Bull. The Brit answered that Verstappen has grown up at Red Bull. "He has grown up, we have seen him grow. We've seen him make his mistakes, but we've seen him grow into the world champion he is today," Horner said.

Attraction

It didn't answer the question, however, according to The Race they believe that Verstappen does not feel a certain attraction to Mercedes or Ferrari. Vettel had that attraction with Ferrari, which is why he once switched to the Italians instead of staying at Red Bull. The Race therefore concludes that Verstappen and Red Bull may indeed be partners for life.
