Marko: "Daniil Kvyat, was completely devastated, Pierre Gasly just flourished"

Alpha Tauri's drivers have both been demoted from Red Bull Racing in the past and Helmut Marko believes that the two handled the situation very differently. Both Daniil Kvyat and Pierre Gasly are building their confidence and performed well with them both getting on the podium in the 2019 season.

Formula 1 is a brutal business and Red Bull weren't getting the results they wanted from Kvyat or Gasly so dropped them back down to the sister team. Marko has seen a difference in the way the two have responded.

"Unlike the same Kvyat, who was completely devastated, Gasly just flourished. Fortunately for him and for us. I think he has learned his lesson and has drawn the right conclusions from those six months at Red Bull. I think he can do a lot in the future," Marko said to Motorsport.com.

Kvyat and Gasly will hope that in 2020 they can bring the team to a new level of success and prove that Red Bull were wrong to let them go.
