'Changes to bodywork, floor and wings mean less downforce in 2021'

Wednesday, in a meeting with the technical working group of Formula 1, it was reportedly decided that the development of the chassis, the gearbox and the suspension will be frozen, but that is not the only thing. A plan has also been agreed to reduce the downforce for the 2021 cars.
Next season identical cars will be driven in the king's class of motorsport, but technically some things will change to the bodywork, floor and wings. This should be possible without completely changing the regulations. The expectation is that the idea will be approved during a meeting with all ten team bosses next week. Pirelli tyres the cause

The measures must ensure that the pressure on the Pirelli tyres is reduced. Due to the rejection of Pirelli's 2020 tyres by the teams and the postponement of the new technical regulations due to the coronavirus outbreak, the same tyres will have been used in 2021 as in 2019 and 2020. However, the performance of the Formula 1 cars is getting better and better, which could result in too much pressure for the rubber.
So less downforce means less fast cars and slower lap times. In theory it should also make following and overtaking easier, as a lot of downforce causes a lot of dirty air.
