With the historic Nürburgring 24 Hours now in the books, the German endurance championship resumes with the sixth round of the season (NLS6), although this time Max Verstappen and his team will not be among the protagonists on track.
After the 24h Qualifiers - two four-hour races held across the same weekend and closely linked to the Nürburgring 24 Hours staged in May - the NLS now resumes with the ADAC Eifel Trophy, the sixth of ten rounds in a season that has so far delivered plenty of action and will run through to October.
The heartbreak suffered by the four-time world champion is still fresh in everyone's minds. After dominating the Nürburgring 24 Hours until the closing stages, Verstappen saw his hopes of victory dashed by a technical issue, with the crew he shared with Auer and Gounon eventually finishing well outside the podium places.
This weekend, however, neither the Red Bull driver nor the teammates who have raced alongside him in GT competition over the past two seasons will be in action, as they are set to compete in the 24 Hours of Spa, another of the most eagerly anticipated endurance races of the season.
Taking part in the Belgian endurance classic will instead be the trio of Dani Juncadella, Chris Lulham and Jules Gounon, who will represent Verstappen Racing aboard the Mercedes-AMG GT3 as they look to bounce back from the disappointment of the Nürburgring 24 Hours.

As for the Nordschleife, NLS6 is still set to deliver plenty of action, with a 17-car SP9/GT3 field featuring several teams and drivers that also played a starring role during the Nürburgring 24 Hours. Among the standout names on the entry list are former Formula 1 driver Kamui Kobayashi and Formula E racer Robin Frijns, alongside several other GT racing stars, including Sven Müller.
The event is scheduled to get underway at 11:00 local time, and you can follow all the action live on GPblog.
