LIVE at 11:00: The first free practice of the Grand Prix of Austria

It's finally here. The Grand Prix weekend in Austria will finally start with the very first session of the Formula 1 season in 2020. Follow all the action live on and next to the Red Bull Ring.

After a break of half a year, it is finally time for the Formula 1 drivers to race again. Due to the coronavirus, the last race was on December 1st and since then, the drivers have only done the winter tests.

So the last tests for the teams were in Barcelona and it was Mercedes who again emerged as the best. Lewis Hamilton is hunting for his seventh world title and Mercedes seem ready to give him that opportunity. However, he seems to have more competition this year.

That competition will mainly appear in the form of Max Verstappen. The Dutchman finished strong in 2019 with some good results and is clearly breathing down Hamilton's neck. Whether it will be enough for the world title in 2020 will mainly depend on Red Bull Racing and Honda. If they have built a car that is good enough for the title, it's up to Verstappen to prove his talent.
