The Barcelona test came to an end yesterday, with Lewis Hamilton leaving it late to deliver the unofficial fastest lap of the five-day running — not only topping the final day, but the entire session.
The seven-time world champion took over the car from his team-mate for the last afternoon and went on to reportedly set a 1:16.348 on the soft tyres, sealing the benchmark time of the test.
Just behind him was newly crowned champion Lando Norris, who began to show early flashes of performance with the MCL40 after McLaren opted to sit out the opening days of running.
Hamilton’s late effort ultimately secured the fastest time overall across the test, narrowly edging out George Russell, whose unofficial 1:16.445 from day four had stood as the reference until the very end.
Yuki Tsunoda has unveiled plans to release his first book, sharing the announcement across his social media platforms.
As his former rivals were busy on track for the final day of the Barcelona tests, the Japanese driver — absent from the 22-car grid for the first time since 2021 — revealed that his debut book, Yuki, will be released on February 20.
He also gave a brief insight into what readers can expect, adding: “It’s a lot of things, including conversations that you don’t usually hear, and aspects that you haven’t shown before. Please look forward to it!”
