Antonelli to step aside for Verstappen in 2027? 'Russell is crushing him'

Kimi Antonelli and his results in the first half of the season have come under the spotlight from Johnny Herbert, who believes that if Max Verstappen were to join Mercedes next year, it would be the young Italian driver who might have to step aside.
Having arrived in Formula 1just after turning eighteen, Kimi Antonelli has experienced a debut season marked by ups and downs. The Italian impressed early on, with highlights including a sprint pole in Miami and a third-place finish in Canada among his best results so far.
However, in recent races, Kimi has fallen into a slump, while George Russellhas continued to deliver strong performances—most recently, a podium finish at last Sunday’s Hungarian Grand Prix.
This situation is indirectly linked to Max Verstappen, who has definitively silenced rumors of a move to Mercedes by confirming he will remain with Red Bull through 2026. However, speculation could flare up again next year.

Official confirmation: What Hamilton's announcement was really about

August 8th was supposed to be the day when Lewis Hamilton would make an announcement. Earlier in the day, it seemed clear what kind of announcement it would be. Hamilton has now officially confirmed what is going to happen.
On July 28, Hamilton posted a message on his Instagram with the date 08-08. This video showed a match burning out. What would happen? Nobody knew.
Almave, a kind of non-alcoholic tequila, had previously released a similar kind of video. Hamilton is working with the company, which produces the drink in Mexico. So it seemed quite clear that this would be the subject of the announcement.
Hamilton has now officially confirmed what the announcement would entail. And indeed, it was an announcement in collaboration with Almave. The non-alcoholic beverage brand is introducing a new drink, called the 'Almave Humo'.
