F1 LIVE | Sprint Qualifying for the 2025 Brazilian GP
Immediately after FP1, drivers will have to be in form as instead of FP2, Sprint Qualifying will follow at the
Interlagos circuit.
This will be the fifth one of the 2025 season, with one more to come in Qatar.
From SQ1 to SQ3, sessions will be shorter than regular qualifying. SQ1 lasts 12, SQ2 lasts 10, and SQ3 lasts eight minutes. Over the first two sessions, it will be mandatory for every driver to use a set of medium tyres, and only in SQ3 the soft tyres will come into play.
So far this year, four different drivers from four different teams have topped Sprint Qualifying sessions. Championship leader
Lando Norris is yet to do so in 2025, but he claimed pole position at the Interlagos track the previous campaign.
