The Italian Grand Prix was won by Max Verstappen from seventh on the grid, a great result. Nyck de Vries' performance was at least as impressive, however, as he managed to finish ninth on the Monza circuit in a Williams. But there may be more candidates for the title of 'GPblog Driver of the Day.'
De Vries was crowned Driver of the Day by F1 fans worldwide. However, the difference with Carlos Sainz was minimal with only three percentage points. The Ferrari driver had to come all the way from P18, but within no time the Spaniard was at the front of the grid. In the end, he fell just short of the podium because of the safety car, otherwise there would have been a possibility.
Lewis Hamilton also had a good race. The start was perhaps a bit difficult, but in the end it was a good P5 for the Mercedes driver in Italy. Who did you think was the best driver on Sunday? Verstappen, De Vries, Sainz, Hamilton or another driver? Let us know in the poll and comments.
