Verstappen: "Can say with certainty that this was the best preparation in years"

Red Bull Racing is not experiencing the start of the season that everyone had hoped for. The team itself was disappointed with the gap to Mercedes and the Dutch newspaperw criticized the team for its 'big mouth' prior to the season. Max Verstappen remains fully behind the team.

"I don't think it's fair that Red Bull gets criticized for this", Verstappen is quoted by Motorsport-Total.com. The Dutchman is referring to the criticism the team received after saying that they had had their best preparation since 2013 and then dropped out after only fourteen laps.

Verstappen believes his team has made great strides this winter and hopes that this will soon be visible on the track. In the meantime he will defend the team against criticism from journalists.
