The Haas F1 team took its first points of the season today with Kevin Magnussen who finished in ninth. However, the two points collected may be taken back by the stewards. The FIA race management has initiated an investigation into Magnussen and Romain Grosjean.
The Haas F1 drivers are suspected of using drivers aids during the formation lap ahead of the Hungarian Grand Prix.
The stewards are investigating an 'alleged violation' of Article 27.1 of the FIA Formula 1 Sports Regulations. These regulations state that drivers must drive the car alone and without assistance. At 6:30 pm, the representatives of the American racing team are scheduled to discuss the matter.

Do Leclerc and Sainz benefit?

Should Magnussen lose his ninth place, it will benefit Charles Leclerc. The Ferrari driver finished in eleventh and will then moves up to tenth place, good for one World Championship point. Carlos Sainz then moves from tenth place to ninth place.
