The chance of a safety car at Silverstone has been more than fifty percent for years and in the 2020 edition Bernd Mayländer also had to assert himself in the British race. It was Kevin Magnussen who shot off the track and came to a standstill in the gravel.
The Haas F1 driver hit Alexander Albon. The Danish driver didn't seem to give enough space to the British Thai of Red Bull Racing. A new setback for the American race team, because from P12 there was a chance for points.
