The night at the 24 Hours of Le Mans has passed with still 7 hours to go on the famous French track. The number of dropped-out cars on the night can be counted on one hand. GPblog lists what happened last night.
Besides the team and Kamui Kobayashi's #7 Toyota dropping out following a weird crash in a slow zone area, we also saw the #4 hypercar of Floyd Vanwall Racing Team drop out. In the LMP2 class, it was the end of the night for the #63 Prema of Daniil Kvyat, among others. Number 932 with Dries Vanthoor, among others, and the #32 car of Inter Europol Competition also retired.
The #51 Ferrari, currently with Antonio Giovinazzi behind the wheel, holds the lead in the Hypercar class. In the LMP2 class, it is the #34 Inter Europol that leads. There, Albert Costa is currently behind the wheel. In the GT class, there is a trade-off for the lead between the Iron Dames team and the Project 1 Porsche.
