Hulkenberg wants to become Verstappen's teammate: "Waiting for a call from Helmut"

Max Verstappen scored a podium in the Portuguese Grand Prix, but Alexander Albon finished outside the points. It is only the sixth time in the history of Red Bull in Formula 1 that this has happened, including all the failures. Albon's position is under pressure and Nico Hulkenberg is monitoring the situation with enormous interest.
The German hopes to return to Formula 1 next year. The Dutch-speaking driver is aiming for a spot at Red Bull, but then that seat has to be released. In any case, the statistics do not speak in favor of Albon. Where he himself scored one podium place, Verstappen already stands at a total of nine.
At the beginning of December Red Bull will take the decision and until then Hulkenberg will have to be patient. "I'm waiting for a call from Helmut," he says to RTL. It is unclear whether Hulkenberg will have several irons in the fire before 2021.

Strange situation for Vettel

As an analyst on the German television channel, the 33-year-old driver also briefly addressed the situation of Sebastian Vettel at Ferrari. Charles Leclerc scored a handsome fourth place, but Vettel was nowhere to be found with a P10. "In any case, it is strange. But it is super difficult to judge from the outside. There is a bit of confusion," says Hulkenberg.
