Christian Horner has now responded to Sergio Perez's early crash in the first free practice for the Hungarian Grand Prix. The Red Bull Racing top man calls it "frustrating" and hopes the RB19 will be ready in time to take part in FP2.
"It's frustrating to have had that off, we haven't got the car back yet," Horner told Sky Sports' camera . "Hopefully it's contained mainly to the front right. Hopefully it'll be repairable for the next session. It was unfortunate, he just pulled on to the grass and made a mistake into Turn 5. It was the start of his first lap, he came through turn 4 okay. He misjudged it and it was a mistake," the British team boss analysed.
For Perez, it is yet another mental blow he has to deal with. "You can hear the frustration in his voice. He stuck his hand up. It is what it is. We will get it turned around as quickly as we can for the next session. Hopefully he hasn't lost too much track time because of this. Hopefully it'll be repairable for the next session."
