Honda wants to say goodbye to Formula 1 with a bang

Now that the winter testing has started, it also means that the new season has begun. This marks the start of Honda 's last season in Formula 1. For one more year the Japanese engine brand remains connected to Formula 1.

They don't want to let that go by quietly. On the contrary, Honda wants to close with a bang. The Japanese team hope that people will be talking about Honda in Formula 1 for a long time to come.

Masafumi Yamamoto, general manager of Honda, said the following ASweb that "I would like to make it a year that will be remembered by everyone so that people will say "Honda was great in its last season". Red Bull has improved its driver depth with the arrival of Sergio Perez. I think we are now in a better position to challenge for the title."

Yamamoto also addresses the difference with Mercedes. " Last year, Mercedes outperformed Honda's predictions. Reliability is still a work in progress, as we haven't done enough road tests, but we hope to establish it at an early stage."
