There was little to celebrate for Ferrari 's F1 team this season, but victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans made up for the famed Ferrari brand's year in one fell swoop. Among others, former F1 driver Antonio Giovinazzi managed to give Ferrari an immediate victory at the first attempt after half a century of absence as a factory team.
Afterwards, the three drivers - one in the cockpit, the other two sitting on the sidepods - drove their lap of honour. Shortly afterwards, James Calado, the Briton in Italian service, found it hard to put his emotion into words. "Yes unbelievable, I have no words," he said. "Thank you for the team, for Ferrari, it is just a great city.” “I feel amazing, it has not sunk in, emotions are really strange. I am happy for the team, it’s a great achievement. So long… I think this will go down in history for sure."

As the Tifosi, present in large numbers, stormed the Le Mans circuit, the Ferrari drivers received the trophy for their exceptional performance.
