F1 upgrades in Italy | Many other front and rear wings at Monza

The Italian Grand Prix is on the programme this weekend and that means the teams have also brought back some updates. These are mainly new front and rear wings, as there are not many real updates in sight.

Different wings

Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez will have access to a new front wing and a different rear wing. Both updates are track-related, meaning Red Bull will no longer use these two wings at future GPs. A lap of Monza is about 85 per cent full throttle and so less downforce is needed and the rear wing, for example, will be a bit smaller.
The other nine teams also all carry modified wings to create more top speed. Other than that, we see few updates that do remain on the car for the rest of the season. McLaren has a slightly modified front end, as does Alfa Romeo Racing. AlphaTauri, on the other hand, modified the rear of the car with the AT04.
So few real updates this weekend in Italy. The number of updates will also decrease more and more as the season progresses. Teams will shift their focus towards 2024 and because of the budget cap, choices have to be made.
