Last night, Neymar made his 2026 FIFA World Cup debut in Brazil's victory over Scotland after returning from injury. Following the match, the Brazilian star used the same phrase that Lewis Hamilton did after winning the Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix.
The third round of group-stage matches at the 2026 FIFA World Cup is now underway in North America. Brazil booked its place in the knockout stages with a 3-0 victory over Scotland. After missing the matches against Morocco and Haiti through injury, Neymar returned to the pitch as a substitute against the Tartan Army.
After the game, Neymar posted photos on social media with the caption, "Remember who you are." Lewis Hamilton then responded in an Instagram story, writing "Always." This came a week after the seven-time Formula 1 world champion celebrated his first-ever victory with Ferrari in Barcelona using exactly the same catchphrase. Neymar responded to that post with a goat emoji.
Ahead of the World Cup, Hamilton explained that together with England, he also supports Brazil. "Growing up in England I used to love watching Brazil play. Honestly, Brazil's always been my favourite team. They were so cool. For me, it's [Brazil] tied with England."

Hamilton warns English fans ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup

According to Hamilton, England fans should wait to sing “It’s Coming Home” until the Three Lions cross the finish line at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. After the opening group-stage match, in which England national football team defeated Croatia 4–2, the song had already made an appearance, as it serves as the team’s victory song.
Hamilton explained to GPblog, among others, ahead of the tournament: "I don't have a prediction, I don't follow it that much, that close to be honest. I'm more into MotoGP and NFL, but I mean I will tune in every now and then and I will always keep a close eye on what England is doing.
"I just hope we don't sing 'It's Coming Home' too early because that's what we normally do. Sing it once we've got it, not before. It's a great song, but jeez," he concluded.
