The McLaren boss told journalists at the Las Vegas Street Circuit that, following an investigation into a technical infringement, both McLaren cars have been disqualified from the final race result.

The FIA has confirmed the result of their investigation into both McLaren cars after the rear skid blocks on both cars were found to be below the 9mm minimum requirement for legality, and disqualified both Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri.

Disqualification sees Max Verstappen gain a 25-point swing in the world championship as he moves within 24 points in the title fight.
