Results | Verstappen cruises to victory in Saudi Arabia

With another very strong performance, Max Verstappen has won the second Grand Prix of 2024. Red Bull Racing's Dutchman was supreme in Saudi Arabia. It was another one-two for the Austrian team, with Sergio Perez second. The final spot on the podium was for Charles Leclerc (Ferrari).

A lot of attention beforehand, of course, went to Oliver Bearman. The youngster was allowed to fill in for the unwell Carlos Sainz for Ferrari at the last minute. The Briton qualified 11th and enjoyed a fine debut. Bearman finished the Grand Prix in place seven. it was a brilliant performance, though he obviously had a fine car at his disposal. Lando Norris and Lewis Hamilton finished behind debutant Bearman.

The 'excitement' in the race was mainly in the middle and back of the field. With Lance Stroll an early dropout after a big crash, there were points on offer for the smaller teams. That eventually went to Haas. Nico Hulkenberg had a fine race and was rewarded with a point in tenth place..
