Raikkonen tests positive for coronavirus and won’t race in Dutch GP

Last year there were a number of positive corona cases in the paddock, including Sergio Perez and Lewis Hamilton who both had to miss a race. It has just been announced that Kimi Raikkonen has tested positive for coronavirus and will not be in action at Zandvoort this weekend.

The FIA has just reported an official notice that Raikkonen has a positive test. Robert Kubica will race for Alfa Romeo. "In accordance with COVID-19 protocols, he will take no further part in this Event. All contacts have been declared. The procedures set out by the FIA and Formula 1 will ensure no wider impact on the Dutch Grand Prix."

Alfa Romeo reports in their official press release that Robert Kubica will replace Raikkonen. "Robert Kubica will compete in this weekend's Dutch Grand Prix. Robert, in car #88, will take the place of Kimi Räikkönen, who tested positive to Covid-19."

Alfa Romeo announced on Twitter that Raikkonen has no symptoms and is in isolation in his hotel room.
