Formula 1 has announced that season eight of Drive to Survive will premiere on 27 February. The Netflix series, which has played a key role in
Formula 1’s surge in global popularity, traditionally launches in the build-up to a new season.
The upcoming edition is expected to explore several major storylines and defining narratives from the 2025 campaign.
The Drive to Survive series debuted in the sport on 8 March 2019 after streaming giant Netflix was granted behind-the-scenes access throughout the 2018 campaign.

The series has since developed into a staple ahead of every new
Formula 1 season, with younger fans eager to see footage and narratives not captured by the regular broadcast cameras.
This year’s edition is expected to touch on Lando Norris’ championship victory, Max Verstappen’s charge towards a fifth drivers’ crown, and several other events that defined the 2025 campaign.
