Mercedes' George Russell has secured victory at the Canadian GP Sprint Race, finishing ahead of Lando Norris and Kimi Antonelli at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.
The Briton lined up on Pole ahead of the 23-lap Sprint, and has secured helpful championship points ahead of Sunday’s main race.
The main talking point will be an early skirmish between the two Mercedes drivers, when Kimi Antonelli's move resulted in contact at Turn 1, with and the Italian eventually losing P2 to Norris after going off for a second time at Turn 8.
Antonelli was furious with his teammate, and demanded a penalty, but was told to calm down by both race engineer Peter Bonnington and team boss Toto Wolff.

Behind the podium spots, Oscar Piastri crossed the line in fourth, ahead of Charles Leclerc and teammate Lewis Hamilton respectively.
Making up the final points positions in the Sprint were Max Verstappen in P7 and Isack Hadjar in P8.
