Max Verstappen immediately took the lead at the start of the virtual 24 Hours of Le Mans. He had to come from the second row of the grid after Team Redline qualified fourth on Saturday, but immediately made short work of his front-runners.

Verstappen makes world start in virtual 24 Hours of Le Mans

There would be plenty of time to make up positions in the 24-hour race, but Verstappen saw no reason to wait. He made a world-class start, choosing a smart line, which enabled him to grab the lead after the first few corners.
Verstappen shared Team Redline's number 1 car with Jeffrey Rietveld, Luke Browning and Diogo Pinto. In the number 2 car of the same team, we also see some familiar names: driving it are Felipe Drugovich and Felix Rosenqvist, among others. They started just ahead of Verstappen in third place, but fell back to P4 at the start.
