Max Verstappen celebrated his victory after the Hungarian Grand Prix, but the victory was hard-earned. The Red Bull Racing driver enters the summer break with a lead of no less than eighty points, but he has no intention of resting on his laurels.
"This is definitely one of the nicer ones," Verstappen said in a conversation with Viaplay. "Also a lot harder of course, but I think in the end we did a lot right." The Dutchman particularly praised the strategic choices of his team, which responded well and called him in for a stop at the right times.

Verstappen continues to look ahead

"It was quite tricky, because I already had a problem after five laps where the clutch kept slipping a lot," Verstappen continued. "Because of that we had to change the gear which made him shift very hard, so that wasn't ideal. In the end we still won, so I'm very happy with that."
Before the race, Verstappen and Red Bull Racing decided that staying calm would be crucial and they did just that, resulting in them going into the summer break with a huge lead. "We can't complain, but I'm someone who immediately starts looking at what we can do better and there are still a lot of things we can do better. So we'll think about that during the holidays and hopefully we can deliver on that when we get back," Verstappen said.
