Verstappen drives historic ride on campus with RB7

Max Verstappen is preparing for the new season that is coming up this weekend. In between, however, he had time to take the RB7 for a spin at the Red Bull Technology Campus.

With this car, Red Bull Racing was able to win the world title for the second time in 2011. Eleven years ago, Sebastian Vettel and the Austrian team put in a tremendous race year and took the top prize in the autumn. In the two years that followed, Vettel always finished on top.

In the meantime, Formula 1 cars have changed a lot, so Verstappen undoubtedly wanted to experience what it was like to drive a car from the motorsport class back then. That footage can be seen on a video that the Austrians put on the YouTube channel on Wednesday.

This weekend is the first race for Verstappen. In Bahrain, he will try to get off to a good start and grab victory. He seems to get competition mainly from Ferrari, while Mercedes and McLaren still need a few weeks to reach the top level.
