Video | Verstappen and Hulkenberg complete brutal training session

Images of Max Verstappen and Nico Hulkenberg training together at Red Bull Racing's Performance Center have surfaced before, but now a video of the two of them competing has appeared online.

In a video on the YouTube-channel of ServusTV, Verstappen and Hulkenberg can be seen doing a fitness check. The footage clearly shows that the exercises are very hard: we can see their faces are in pain.

The test included assessing the strength of the drivers' neck muscles by having them use a headband to put up as much resistance as possible to the device to which it is attached. But the arm muscles are also being tested: Verstappen and Hulkenberg have to move a weighted steering wheel from left to right as fast as possible.

Finally, there is a machine that measures the strength of the upper body. The drivers have to move this from left to right, while the machine provides a lot of counterweight. In any case, it looks very heavy. "This one is the worst," says Verstappen.
