It had missed the television cameras for a moment during the Bahrain Grand Prix, but Max Verstappen had an unexpected encounter with a DHL advertising board during the race on Sunday. The Dutchman was gliding for a moment when he left the track. He kept his RB16 under control, but he couldn't avoid a light touch.
Verstappen immediately asked Gianpiero Lambiase if there was any damage to the front wing. His head-engineer immediately let him know that there was no damage. After the Grand Prix won by Lewis Hamilton, Red Bull Racing did not say a word about the incident either, so the consequences were clearly not significant.
