For Mercedes, 2022 was not the year they hoped for. The W13 was not as competitive as thought and hoped, but towards the end of the season, the German team got closer and closer to Red Bull Racing and Ferrari. Toto Wolff comes with a message for Mercedes fans on the last day of 2022.

"Hi everyone. This is the end of a really challenging year. But sometimes it's good to get it wrong, to prepare, recalibrate and recondition for the future. Hopefully, we will be able to look back and say how important this year was in terms of learnings about the car and us as human beings. For sure, 2022 made us more determined to be back at the top.," Wolff said.

The Austrian team boss thanked the fans for always standing behind the team. " Thank you for all of your support through this year. Now we look ahead to a new season with many opportunities. Happy new year to everyone."
