Sergio Perez secured a podium finish in his home race in Mexico for the first time in his career. The Mexican born driver managed to cross the finish line in third after an attempt to overtake Lewis Hamilton for P2 never really got off the ground.
Perez hoped for second place
Despite Perez wanting to score a one-two for Red Bull Racing, the Mexican is satisfied with the result achieved. Team boss Christian Horner is also happy with Perez's performance and says he should enjoy his cooldown lap. The Brit also congratulates Perez for the fantastic job he did.
