Dutch journalist Jack Plooij has reported for Ziggo Sport that he overheard a conversation in the paddock about a potential Grand Prix in Miami next year!
The Dutch journalist overheard a conversation between former F1-owner Bernie Ecclestone and former team boss Flavio Briatore in the paddock of Baku.
Plooij reported that both men were talking about the organizers of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix having sold the pit boxes to Miami. It's been known that Liberty Media has actively been trying to get another Grand Prix in the United States, either to Los Angeles or Miami. If you put one and one together here, this could very well mean that this has been the last time we'll see an F1-race in Baku.
This is just a rumour and nothing has been confirmed yet, but a street race in Miami does sound cool, doesn't it?
