'Las Vegas GP to end 2032 on F1 calendar'

Formula 1 reportedly plans to host a race weekend in Las Vegas over the next 10 years. This states Fox5vegas.com based on sources. The current contract between the two parties still runs until the end of the 2025 season.

At the end of the current calendar year, the motorsport class will return to the US city for the first time since 1982. Formula 1 expects this to be a great success and is said to already have ideas behind the scenes for a longer collaboration with the circuit's organisers.

It has therefore expressed its intention to have the Las Vegas Grand Prix on the programme for the next 10 years. That means the teams would travel to the city at least through 2032. The plan will be discussed further at the Clark County Commission meeting on 7 February.

It was previously revealed that Las Vegas is expected to earn a lot from hosting Formula 1. Indeed, the event would have an economic impact of more than one billion euros. In comparison, the Super Bowl is likely to earn Las Vegas more than half as much.
